Becca and Howie, blindsided by a tragic accident, struggle to piece together what was once their picture perfect life in the suburbs. As they negotiate a return to their marriage and what is left of their family, they are forced to confront the depth of their loss and the new realities of life together. Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Rabbit Hole is a surprisingly funny and heart-rending portrait of one family's tragedy and the trials of navigating the unimaginable.
Written by David Lindsay-Abaire. He won the Pulitzer Prize for Rabbit Hole in 2007. His other Broadway credits include Shrek the Musical (book and lyrics), High Fidelity (book for the musical) and Good People. Off-Broadway: Fuddy Meers, Kimberly Akimbo, Wonder of the World, A Devil Inside, Ripcord. For the screen: Oz the Great and Powerful (co-wrote), Rise of the Guardians, Robots, Inkheart, and the remake of Poltergeist.
Eric Hunicutt directs the current production. His stage directing credits include original solo shows, contemporary plays, and projects at the NY International Fringe Festival, The Skylight Theatre, IAMA Theatre Company, The Hudson Theater, Casa 0101, Triptych Theatre Company, Piccolo Spoleto Fringe, UCB NY & LA, the Comedy Central Stage, iO West, and as a guest artist at UC San Diego. He has staged numerous workshop productions and readings, including work with the Playwrights Union, The Blank Theater, and CTG/Humanitas Play L.A. Workshop. Eric is a member of LA's Echo Theatre Company and an alumnus of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab.
His cast for Rabbit Hole includes (in alphabetical order): Toni Christopher (This is Us, Masters of Sex and 20th Century Women), Jordana Oberman (Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal and Hand of God), Darcy Shean (Mad Men, Baskets, Desperate Housewives), Michael Yurchak (Modern Family, Mad Men, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) and introducing Rocky Collins.
